Hey there,

About 5 weeks ago, I was on stage speaking to somewhere between 70 and 100 people, extemporaneously. It was sort of a do or die challenge thrown out to us. Now for you “big word haters” out there, the definition: Extemporaneously definition = done, spoken, performed, etc., without special advance preparation; impromptu: an extemporaneous speech.

I had been on stage twice earlier in the 10 day Mastermind. Once I was reading an email I was sending to my list. The second time, I was on stage to video another attendee's coaching session with our very own online multi millionaire superstar, the founder of My Own Business Education, the host of this amazing Mastermind in Montego Bay.

Okay, so here's the picture. The first time I was reading off of my computer something I had previously written and had the assistance of the person next to me holding the microphone. So, I had both hands free to work with the computer which is difficult enough a challenge since, with my visual difficulties, everything needs to be large for me to read it which means lots of screen scrolling. Technically, this was a little challenging, but it sure was a distraction from all of those eyeballs staring at me. Ha ha!

The second time, I was shooting video with my iPhone6, so (a) I had a “prop.”  Like the first time I had my computer in hand, this time I had my iPhone in hand. And (b) this time I had my back to the audience about 90% of the time besides. Much less scary!

However, this third time, just before I go to step up onto the stage, the emcee takes my computer from me and sends me up on stage, all by myself, with nothing in my hands but the microphone and somewhere between 140 and 200 eyes staring right at me, not to mention all of the professional videographers' cameras and still shot cameras, and participants cell phone cameras.

Needless to say, I was faintly terrified!

Tomorrow, I'll give you the “outline” of my impromptu speech. So, come on back for more then.

I survived!
