So, here I am again in the wee hours of the morning, your “Encore Career Entrepreneur”~ wannabe blogger ~thinking about what it is that keeps me going and going (kind of like the EverReady bunny) until these kinds of hours so often.
It is a part of the laptop lifestyle that I cherish, this being able to keep going “when the Spirit moves me” doing something that I love, knowing that it is okay to be working when most of my little corner of the world is asleep. It is wonderful to know that if I'm feeling inspired, it is okay to go with the flow even into the wee hours and I'll be able to sleep in tomorrow morning if I need to do so and awaken to George's, “Princess, your coffee is here.” wake up call instead of that horrific “tear you out of sleep” alarm clock that I wanted to heave through a window so many mornings of my life.
For SO many years, I was up before the crack of dawn to shower, do yoga, have breakfast, and prepare lunch, just barely in time to sit in rush hour traffic and get started caring for others by about seven o'clock in the morning, many days not getting home until after it was dark again. In those days, I could ill afford to stay up late for any reason, since I had to be in top form so early and all day as a cardiovascular nurse.
Now it is a privilege of the laptop lifestyle I lead, and of the lifestyle freedom I currently enjoy, to be able to stay up until the wee hours while the house is quiet if my “workflow” is flowing, if the words are coming easy, if I have a sudden inspiration, or a resurgence of energy in deciphering some problem that has been troubling.
I so much love learning and teaching, I love being able to help others. So I am thrilled to have found what is, for me, the perfect vehicle for an encore career, and maybe for you, the perfect vehicle for retirement supplemental income, or for a second household income from home.
Let me introduce you to my friend and partner while he explains, better than I could, a bit about what has given me a new lease on life, just in case you've always wondered about being an entrepreneur but had no idea where one would ever start, or in case you've been downsized out of a job, or have suddenly realized in retirement that your nest egg will never last long enough.
I'm now in the business of helping others get started in business, that is owning their own business, becoming an entrepreneur, and I'm loving it.
And that is why I'm still up in the wee hours, “entrepreneuring,” just because I can be, just because I'm making my dreams come true and want to help others do that as well.
